Coulter response
The tone of the explanation article rationalizing Coulter leaving was a bit abrasive, and quite out of line. It seemed like they were taking Coulter’s leaving the NRO, attempt to persuade the readers that she has serious issues and effects from the events of 9-11. They made the impression that she is insecure with herself and basically had “snapped”. When he described her response to critics, he claimed it was “barely coherent” and needing “judgment”. What has to be understood is that Coulter is a niche journalist. She writes for a specialized group of people with hopes to turn a few heads. While, yes, I do think she is a bit erratic, this article did not need to be this long winded article criticizing her. However, I understand that it was written in this way to hurt Coulter through magnifying her faults, especially while in distress. She resigned, and fact of the matter is, she made them a bunch of money writing for them. To me, I draw the analogy of a sports team. If you have a team with several strong players, and one leaves to play for a rival team, you and your teammates undoubtedly would talk down against the former player, because he once was helping your team win, now he is helping your team lose. Is this good sportsmanship? No, but it is human nature, as anyone losing a fairly valuable asset would act.
