crazy coulter

I was actually happy to find out that Coulter ultimately wasn't fired for the content of her comments in her emotionally charged September 13 article. Before reading Goldberg's press release I assumed that Coulter had finally been fired for her astounding ability to offend with her tactless (and usually senseless) writing. Though I never agree with much of anything she has to say, I was bothered by the thought that Ann had been fired based on content because allowing lunatics like her to freely express themselves is one of the signs that we still have some remaining semblance of a free press in this country. Also I was surprised to see that she ended up getting fired for poor writing and lack of professionalism -- those traits (particularly the latter) were Ann's hallmarks so I'm surprised her employers weren't expecting such behavior from her from the day they hired her.
